Over the past few weeks we’ve given inCobh a complete refresh. There’s a new home page, new menus, a faster search and a redesigned business directory. Every change has the same aim: helping cruise passengers, day-trippers and locals find what they’re looking for in Cobh, and the businesses that make the town special.
Here’s what’s new, and what it means for local businesses.
A fresh new business directory
The directory has a cleaner, easier-to-browse layout, grouped into nine areas from Things to Do and Food & Drink to Places to Stay and Local Services. inCobh Partners are shown first in their category, with a larger card showing their logo, a short description, a green Verified tick and a live “Open now” status.
Every category has its own page and map
Pubs, cafés, restaurants, attractions, hotels and more now each have their own page, with a map of every business in that category. Partners sit at the top of the page and stand out on the map with highlighted pins.
Search that finds you first
Whether someone searches from the home page, the menu or the directory, results now come straight from the directory, with Partners shown first.
Opening hours people can trust
Partner listings show a live “Open now” or “Opens at 17:00” status, along with Christmas and holiday hours, closed days and short notices such as “Closed today for a private event.” Visitors can plan their day with confidence.
Book, call or message in one tap
Listings can include a Book button linked to your booking or ticketing system, plus Call and Contact buttons, so there are fewer steps between finding you and getting in touch.
Menus, seasonal menus and more
Partners can show their menu in a pop-up right on their listing, plus a separate seasonal menu, such as a Christmas menu, that comes down by itself when the season ends. “Good for” tags like live music, coffee or family friendly help people find you when they search.
Events and venues, connected
Our new What’s On listing lets people browse events by day, by category or on a map, and feeds into the Gig Guide and The WOW, our rolling seven-day guide. Event pages and venue listings now link to each other, so your events promote your business and your listing promotes your events.
