Profile
The Quiet Club is formed by Cork-based artists Danny McCarthy and Mick O’Shea. They perform experimental music using a range of improvised instruments. They often collaborate with other artists to create new and alternative sonic environments. They showcase site-specific, responsive works across Cork County, nationally and internationally. This year, they are celebrating their twentieth anniversary with a nationwide tour.
As part of this initiative, SIRIUS presents This Now hEar (Cycles Of Time and Eternal Renewal), engaging with the site’s history and architecture in collaboration with artists Artem Trofimenko and Jeffrey Weeter. Their concert at SIRIUS has become an annual event and is a highlight of the East Cork art scene.
