Cork Airport has partnered with Iarnród Éireann and Bus Éireann to launch a new integrated ticketing system, offering passengers the convenience of traveling to the airport using both rail and bus services—all on a single ticket. This recently introduced feature allows customers booking through the Iarnród Éireann website to include a transfer to Cork Airport, enabling a seamless journey from Kent Station to the airport via Bus Éireann’s 225 and 226 routes.
This innovative ticketing option marks another step forward in enhancing public transport connectivity to Ireland’s fastest-growing airport. Passengers can now travel on Intercity services from locations such as Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Laois, Kildare, and Dublin, as well as Commuter services from Mallow, Midleton, and Cobh, before enjoying a smooth transfer to Cork Airport. Supported by the National Transport Authority (NTA), the feature was added to the Iarnród Éireann website earlier this month.
Bus Éireann’s routes 225 and 226 offer frequent connections between Cork Airport, Cork City Centre, Cork Bus Station, and Cork Kent Railway Station. These services run every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on Sundays and public holidays, providing reliable and convenient travel options for passengers.
