Join us for a relaxed and engaging Mixed Instrument Workshop for Adults led by the renowned musician and educator Joanne Quirke. This session is a highlight of the Cobh Trad Fest 2026, delivered in partnership with the Cork ETB School of Music to support traditional music in the community.
About the Instructor Joanne Quirke is a distinguished flute, whistle, and fiddle player from Cork. With three Senior All-Ireland titles and a professional background as a qualified Music teacher, Joanne is a regular performer on television and radio. She holds the Sean O Riada memorial award for performance and has toured extensively internationally, completing residencies as far afield as the World Expo in the UAE.
Player Suitability & Skill Level
- Target Audience: Adults of mixed abilities.
- Requirements: Participants should have a basic grasp of their instrument and be able to play some tunes.
- Focus: This workshop focuses on learning new repertoire and getting comfortable playing in a group setting with other musicians in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
The Schedule – Saturday, 25th July 2026
- Session Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes (Specific morning time to be confirmed upon registration).
- Workshop Showcase Performance: All participants are invited to join the performance from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Cobh Library.
